They plunge into fast moving streams foraging for insect larvae under stones or in the streambed. When on shore they constantly "bob" up and down

Species:  Cinclus mexicanus          Lifespan:  up to 7 years          Length:  7 1/2 inches          Wingspan:  11 inches
